Delete your account
How to delete your Routtine account and everything in it — from inside the app, or by email if you have already uninstalled.
The short version
You can delete your Routtine account yourself, from inside the app, without emailing anyone and without giving a reason. Deleting the account deletes the data behind it.
If you have already uninstalled the app, or you cannot sign in, email us and we will do it for you.
Deleting it from inside the app
This is the fastest route, and it does not need us:
- Open Routtine and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
- Confirm. The account is closed immediately and you are signed out.
Deleting it by email
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email hello@routtine.app from the address on the account, with "Delete my account" as the subject. You do not need to explain why.
We reply to confirm before anything is deleted, so a mistyped address cannot cost someone their data. If we cannot match the address to an account, we will say so rather than quietly doing nothing.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account, including:
- Your profile, sign-in identity, and any linked Google or Apple account.
- Your food log, weight entries, check-ins, and progress photos.
- Step and activity data read from Health Connect, and the permission to read it.
- Community posts, comments and reactions you have made.
- Your conversations with the in-app AI coach.
What we keep, and for how long
Deletion completes within 30 days. Two things outlive the account, and we would rather name them than let you find out later:
- Payment and subscription records, where tax and accounting law requires us to retain them. These are billing records, not your health data.
- Backups, which are deleted on their own rotation. Your data is not restored from them once the account is closed.
If you have a subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription — Google owns that billing relationship, not us. Cancel it in the Play Store under Subscriptions, otherwise it keeps renewing after the account is gone.
Questions
Anything unclear, or a request that does not fit the routes above — email hello@routtine.app and a person will answer.
